Tell us about your PROGRAM
Over the course of the year, residents will receive the training necessary to develop clinical expertise in infectious disease pharmacotherapy and antimicrobial stewardship. Residents gain a broad range of clinical and research experience, and our dynamic curriculum allows for flexibility to integrate professional goals.
What makes your program UNIQUE?
We have a diverse variety of clinical preceptors across a variety of specialties which enhance overall training. Trainees have the ability to participate in a high level within the institutional stewardship program, which will prepare them to become independent practitioners in any setting.
What opportunities are there for RESEARCH and QUALITY IMPROVEMENT in your program?
Trainees have numerous opportunities to participate in research both at the local and system-level. Additionally, the hospital employs biostatisticians which can assist with data analysis.
What QUALITIES are you looking for in a successful trainee?
Ideal qualities in a trainee include self-motivation, drive, and passion.
What CAREER paths have past trainees pursued and how does your program support trainees in finding job opportunities?
All past trainees have ended up as clinical pharmacists working within infectious diseases. We offer full support in finding job opportunities, including CV review and interview prep.
MAD-ID Training Program Highlight
This series highlights ID pharmacy training programs, including PGY2 ID residency and ID fellowship programs, who send trainees to the MAD-ID Annual Meeting. We provide an opportunity for program directors to give insights into their offerings that mean most to prospective trainees.
